Claire Olsen, Founder and President of Piper’s Purpose, will lead an interactive, informative, supportive training for health professionals working in the infertility, pregnancy and infant loss communities. Using their original acronym, PIPER, health professionals will gain a better understanding and concrete steps to supporting families during shock and grief following loss, as well as nurture their own emotional responses to working with these families. The entire session will be 2 hrs and will include interactive training (Grief Framework: confident approaches), parent panel/time for discussion and a light activity that will allow participants time to interact and explore creative approaches to grief.
This program was created with the intention for participants to feel safe and supported as they learn, get curious and discuss challenging topics.
Piper's Purpose is a secular, inclusive, open -minded organization that is always learning how to best serve all people within the infertility, pregnancy and infant loss communities.
All participants will receive a customized packet of information related to infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and can request more materials at no cost during or after the program.
Intended participants: RN, PA, OBGYN, US Tech, maternal/fetal medicine specialist, NP, medical office manager, family practice physician or staff, hospital based social worker, perinatal bereavement coordinator, perinatal nurse navigator.
