The Role of Music in Early American History

TRB Community Room (Whole Room)Explore the role of music as a driving force of the American Revolution, then compose your own lyrics about what being a present-day American means to you as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
This workshop will be led by Audrey Johnson, classical vocalist, teaching-artist, and founder of the Of Thee I Sing performance company.
By the end of the workshop participants will have a song of their own which will be performed as the finale at the “So Wondrous Free: A Musical Journey to the Declaration of Independence” concert at 6pm the night of the workshop.
