Authors at JCPL welcomes #1 New York Times bestselling author Melissa de la Cruz in conversation with award-winning author Francesca Zappia!
100 lucky JCPL cardholders will receive a free copy of her new title, Kingdom of Waves. Register on Eventbrite with your JCPL card by June 12! After that date, 100 ticket holders will be randomly selected for a ticket upgrade to include a free copy of her new book.
General admission tickets may be reserved by anyone; you do not need a library card to attend. Copies of the author's books will also be available for purchase through Morgenstern Books.

About the authors:
Melissa de la Cruz is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than 50 critically acclaimed and award-winning novels for readers of all ages. Her books have also topped USA Today, Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times bestseller lists and been published in over twenty countries, including the popular “Blue Bloods” and “Witches of East End” series.
Melissa is also the founder and principal of Melissa de la Cruz Studio at Disney Publishing and co-director of YALLFEST (Charleston, SC) and the co-founder of YALLWEST (Santa Monica, CA), the two largest and most vibrant young adult book festivals in the country, attracting more than 30,000 readers every year.
She grew up in Manila and moved to San Francisco with her family, where she graduated high school salutatorian from The Convent of the Sacred Heart. At Columbia University, she majored in art history and English. She lives in West Hollywood with her husband and daughter.
Francesca Zappia is an award-winning author of Young Adult books including Eliza and Her Monsters, Katzenjammer, and her latest, Greymist Fair. She has a Computer Science/Math degree and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis and currently lives in Indiana.
