Discover the library's Weiss Financial Ratings database: getting started, stocks & mutual funds, easy-to-use BUY-HOLD-SELL investment ratings and more via this Zoom program. Registration required.
JCPL has a great database in its online offerings—Weiss Financial Ratings—and you can access it for free, in the library and from home with your library card.
If you are not familiar, Weiss Financial Ratings offers independent, unbiased, and conservative BUY-HOLD-SELL investment ratings of thousands of stocks, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds. We do the hard work of crunching the numbers every day to point you towards safer, more profitable investments—even in this time of economic ups and downs. You can even set up a personal account to create a watchlist and get instant notifications when your investments are upgraded or downgraded.
Tom Kilkenny from Weiss Financial Ratings will provide a deep dive into the functionality of the Database, review the risks and rewards of various types of investments and teach us how to create an account, set up a watchlist for your investments, and how to create research tools (screeners) to locate investments that match your investment goals.
You can attend this Zoom program in person at the Franklin Branch or remotely; the Zoom link will be emailed to you.
