Mother's Scent Hearts for Preemies

Make the world a better place, one craft at a time! Sew flannel hearts for mothers to wear and leave with their preemie baby when she can't be with them.

These hearts are given to mothers whose newborn infants have been admitted to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. The fabric heart is worn against the mother’s skin so that the fabric might absorb the scent of the mother. The heart is then placed in the crib with the baby so the mother is always with her child.
Sewing machines will be set up and available for this purpose. Feel free to drop in anytime during the times indicated and sew as many hearts as you would like to give to this cause. All supplies provided.
