Firearms are the most lethal means of suicide in the United States and household gun ownership accounts for more than half of youth suicides age 14-18 years old. In this class, learn about basic safety measures such as gun locks, safety mechanisms and gun storage in the home and your vehicle.
This program is a partnership between The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Johnson County and JCPL. Each attendee receives a free gun lock and information about how you can help prevent suicide.
Firearms are not permitted in the course as this is an educational course taught by professionals.
